DOI Registration Services
The Drexel University Libraries registers Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for works created by Drexel researchers, including theses, dissertations, research papers and research datasets.
A DOI is a unique string of numbers, letters and symbols used to permanently identify an article or document and link to it online. The DOI remains fixed over the lifetime of the document, whereas its location and other metadata may change. Referring to an online document by its DOI provides a more stable link than simply using its URL. DOIs originated in the publishing industry and are in widespread use for journal articles.
For more information or to obtain a DOI request form for your publication or dataset, visit the DOI Services section of our Research Data Management Resources guide.
