Research data management is an aspect of research activity found in all stages of the research life-cycle, from idea conception through proposal writing to generating results, publication, curation and preservation. The Drexel Libraries raises awareness of research data management components and relevance to research output among the Drexel Community. As part of the University’s research support infrastructure, the Drexel Libraries offers services to strengthen Drexel's connections to global scholarship and helps surface Drexel research output to a larger audience while increasing the Drexel communities' knowledge of research data management requirements.    

Libraries staff provide guidance for Drexel University researchers, faculty, staff and students in the following areas:

• Office of Research: Manages the research process, including funding, proposal, project submission, award terms, reporting and project closeout
• Corporate Compliance and Privacy Office Resources: Provides information on research ethics, applicable laws and policies, human research protection, IRB resources, animal care and use, export control, financial and programmatic assurance and more 
• The Biostatistics Scientific Collaboration Center (BSC): Based in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health, the BSC provides fee for service collaboration in study design, statistical methods, data cleaning and data management best practices
• Drexel University Information Technology Resources: Provides university-wide instructional, administrative, and research services using its robust computing and communications infrastructure, including policies and procedures on the responsible, ethical and legal use of computing resources for the protection of all users, as well as device setup for research projects
• REDCap: A self-managed, secure, web-based solution designed to support data collection strategies for research studies
