Migration Update: Moving to Drexel Libraries Course Reserves
March 11, 2024
On April 1, 2024, the Drexel Libraries will launch its new course reserve tool called Drexel Libraries Course Reserves (Leganto). This new tool integrates with both the Libraries’ catalog and Blackboard Learn and makes it even easier to create and deliver course reserve materials to Drexel students.
Libraries staff recently completed the next phase of the project and migrated all spring term course reserve lists from the old system (called Ares) to Drexel Libraries Course Reserves. Once the new tool is live, instructors will be able to link courses to it as they did with Ares.
As a reminder, Ares course reserve links will be listed in Blackboard in read-only format through June 14, 2024. Instructors are encouraged to review their reading lists in Drexel Libraries Course Reserves to ensure they migrated correctly before June 14. Please contact reserves@drexel.edu with any questions or to report any issues with reading lists and links.
To help faculty and instructors prepare for this change, the Libraries is hosting an online training demo on Wednesday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
All instructors who currently use the Libraries’ course reserves services are encouraged to attend this session.
A recording of the session will be available online, or contact Katherine Fischer, Manager of Client Access Experiences, at krf26@drexel.edu to request a demo.
