Open Access Fees Waived for American Chemical Society Journals
June 17, 2024
Drexel authors may now publish open access in all American Chemical Society (ACS) journals with full financial support, thanks to an agreement made possible through the Drexel Libraries’ PALCI consortium membership.
That means Drexel authors do not have to pay article publishing charges (APC) when publishing in ACS journals, including all ACS hybrid and transformative journals, the ACS Au collection, JACS Au, ACS Central Science, and ACS Omega.
The agreement, negotiated by PALCI last year, also provides researchers from participating consortium member institutions with complete access to ACS Publications’ journal content through the end of 2025.
This new agreement builds on the Drexel Libraries’ commitment to supporting open access publishing and making research accessible to scholars world-wide. The Drexel Libraries has entered into several other open access publishing partnerships, including agreements with Elsevier, Springer Nature, and the Institute of Physics.
Authors can find additional information and guidance on these publishing agreements and article requirements in our open access resource guide.
