Welcome to Drexel, new Dragons! We can’t wait to see you on campus this September.
To help you ease into college life, the Drexel Libraries is offering lots of great events during the University’s Welcome Week, scheduled for September 16 – September 22. Stop by the W. W. Hagerty Library throughout the week for guided tours, chair massages, or to chat with staff. You can also explore our online orientation guide to help familiarize yourself with our resources and services before classes begin.

Drexel Libraries Open House Events

Start the fall 2024 term off right: Get to know the Drexel Libraries before classes begin!
Stop by the W. W. Hagerty Library and enjoy snacks and giveaways, meet Libraries staff, and learn all about the resources, services, and study spaces available to all Drexel students.
Mid-Week Recharge: Chair Massages in Hagerty Library

Feeling tense or fatigued? A few minutes of chair massage focused on the back, neck and shoulders can improve circulation, reduce stress and tension and rejuvenate your spirit.
Drop by the Dragons' Learning Den in the W. W. Hagerty Library for an ergonomic chair massage to help you feel more relaxed about your first term in college.
Then check out the Serenity Suite (our wellness room) and all the tools & equipment you can borrow to help you de-stress throughout the term.

Explore the Drexel Libraries before classes begin!
Take a guided tour of the W. W. Hagerty Library and learn about all the resources and services that can help you throughout your career at Drexel. Libraries staff will show you around the building so you know exactly where to go to find study spaces, printers & scanners, group study rooms and more.
All tours start by the Service Desk on the first floor. Remember to bring your Dragon Card (Drexel ID) -- you'll need to scan it at the security desk to access the library.

This Welcome Week, stop by the W. W. Hagerty Library and get tips and tricks to help you use the Libraries’ tools and systems for your coursework and research projects.
Dan Mills, Technology Integration Librarian, will be available to answer your library tech-related questions and can show you how to use DragonSearch (the Libraries’ online search tool), download software via Drexel IT, install useful apps like LibKey Nomad and PaperCut, and more. Learn about lots of tech tools, tips & tricks this Welcome Week!
