Library Learning Terrace Reopens for Studying & Group Work
April 3, 2023
The Drexel Libraries is pleased to announce its Library Learning Terrace is now open as of April 3, 2023!
Located in the heart of Drexel's student residential district, the Library Learning Terrace is a flexible informal learning environment that facilities self-directed learning. It does not have books or computers, but provides students with internet access, electrical outlets for mobile devices, mobile and stationary white boards, and flexible furnishings that provide a variety of seating options for individual or collaborative group work.
The Learning Terrace was temporarily closed to students from November 2020 to March 2023 while the University repurposed the space as a COVID-19 testing and vaccination site during the pandemic. Effective March 24, COVID PCR testing is no longer available to the Drexel community, and Drexel’s Office of Health & Wellbeing advises faculty, staff, and students use rapid PCR home tests as needed.
The Drexel Libraries is excited to reopen the Learning Terrace for student, faculty, and staff use once again!
The Library Learning Terrace is located adjacent to the Race Street Residence Hall at 33rd & Race Streets. It is open Monday through Sunday from 12pm to midnight during the spring 2023 term. Only current Drexel students may utilize this space; an active Dragon card is required. Scan your Dragon card on the ID scanner outside the main entrance.
