Ignite the Power of Drexel Dragons by Uniting with the Past During an Online Edition of 'Films from the Archives'
June 8, 2020
Get ready to join the thunder of Dragons and be a part of the movement for student success! June 24 is Drexel University’s 24 Hours of Impact and we are counting on Dragons everywhere to come together and support the Drexel Libraries.
This year’s theme, The Power of Dragons, is dedicated to the strength, stability, and support within the Drexel community. Unite with fellow dragons now by visiting www.Drexel.edu/24 and then join the University Libraries and the University Archives on June 24 as we connect the power of Drexel’s past with the present during an online edition of Films from the Archives.
During this online event, Drexel’s Digital Archivist Sarah Newhouse will share a rarely screened archival video of a comic, musical skit written for the Drexel 100 Year Anniversary in 1991 that puts A. J. Drexel and his family on stage to tell you about their lives and joke about their legacies.
Following the short, 25-minute film, Drexel Archives staff will be available for a Q/A session. More details and login instructions will be provided over the coming weeks.
We would especially like to thank our generous donors for their support over the years—support that inspires learning, ignites conversations and shapes future scholarship.
