EndNote X9 Now Available to Drexel Community
February 7, 2019
EndNote X9 is now available for the Drexel community. Download the newest version of EndNote from the Drexel IT Secure Software Server.
This new version of EndNote includes improvements to sharing functionality and new integrations with Web of Science.
The sharing features for the previous version of EndNote allowed only for sharing complete read/write access to a researcher’s library. EndNote X9 allows for read/write or read-only full library access and sharing of specific groups within a library. Users will also see links to groups that others have shared with them, although those are only accessible from the web interface.
The new Web of Science integrations add Manuscript Matcher and Citation Reports to EndNote.
The Manuscript Matcher journal matching tool, which was previously only available through the online version, takes abstracts and references for a manuscript and uses them to suggest the top journal candidates.
Citation reports can be run for an individual article or group of articles. This feature works best with citations that have been added to EndNote from Web of Science, but citations from other sources can often be updated with Web of Science data using the Find Reference Updates function.
