Marietta Dooley

Head of Library Instruction

Marietta Dooley joined the Drexel University Libraries as acting Director of the Salus University Learning Resource Center in July 2025. After assisting with the oversight of the Salus and Drexel Libraries merger, she was appointed the Head of Library Instruction in 2026. In addition to providing leadership in planning and development of library instruction programs, she serves as a Health Sciences Librarian for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the College of Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography from Kutztown University and an MSLIS from Syracuse University.

As part of her subject expertise and work with PCO, she has served as part of an editorial team responsible for the life cycle of researching, writing, and editing of the American Optometric Association's Evidence-Based Optometry Practice Guidelines since 2023.
