Library Service Updates for Elkins Park Campus Students

July 31, 2025

Now that the Drexel/Salus merger is complete, our staff are working to integrate all Elkins Park-based library systems and resources into the Drexel Libraries’ workflows.

The information below outlines some of the exciting changes we’re implementing for students (as well as faculty and staff) enrolled in programs based at Drexel’s Elkins Park Campus.

We’re excited to welcome all our new Dragons and we look forward to supporting you throughout your career at Drexel!

Access to Drexel Libraries Resources

We are working with Drexel IT to load student records into our library systems. Once student accounts have been loaded into Drexel systems, students enrolled in programs based at the Elkins Park Campus will have full access to all Drexel Libraries resources, including access to the W. W. Hagerty Library in University City.

We anticipate this will occur by August 18 and the start of the fall semester.

My Library Account: Renew Online & New Loan Periods

Once we finish migrating student records into the Drexel Libraries’ system, you will be able to renew print resources online. You'll simply login using the “My Library Account” link on the Libraries' homepage to renew online or you may take the materials to the service desk at either location to renew in person.

We are also standardizing loan periods for print materials at all locations. Now, graduate students can check out print materials for 6 months, instead of just 2 weeks. Visit our website for a complete list of loan periods.

Note: If you need something that is checked out by another member of the Drexel community, please contact us and we’ll help you get it.

Other Changes

We’re also excited to announce that the three group study rooms at the Elkins Park Campus Library are included in our room reservation system. Now you can book a room in advance using our online reservation page.

Please check the schedule before you grab a room to be sure it isn’t reserved by someone else. If a room isn’t reserved, you are welcome to use it.
