Latest Update: Migrating to the Drexel Libraries Course Reserves Tool
February 13, 2024
The Drexel Libraries is moving to a new course reserve tool called Drexel Libraries Course Reserves (Leganto). This new tool integrates with both the Libraries’ catalog and Blackboard Learn and makes it even easier to create and deliver course reserve materials to Drexel students.
We plan to launch the new tool on April 1 to correspond with the start of the spring quarter. All course reserve materials included in Ares (our current system) will be migrated to Drexel Libraries Course Reserves by April 1.
To make this migration as seamless as possible, the last day to submit course reserves requests in Ares is February 19, 2024. After February 19, please contact reserves@drexel.edu for assistance.
Once the migration is complete (mid-March), instructors will be able to submit new requests by linking courses to the new Drexel Libraries Course Reserves tool in Blackboard Learn.
Ares will remain in a view-only format through the end of the spring term. Students will not lose access to course reserves at any point in this process.
We will provide more information about the migration over the coming weeks. In the meantime, we encourage you to watch this short introductory video: Course Materials Solutions for Faculty.
