Introducing PaperCut, the Libraries New Print Management System
July 11, 2023
If you’ve needed to print a document in the W. W. Hagerty Library over the last few days, you’ve probably noticed a few changes to the print system.
The Libraries is pleased to announce the printers in the W. W. Hagerty Library now use a new system called PaperCut.
PaperCut is easy to use and offers a web browser version and a mobile application (called PaperCut Mobility Print) so clients can print documents from personal laptops and mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
The new system allows clients to send documents to a library printer via a web browser or by installing print drivers on their personal devices. Clients can release a print job directly at a library printer using DragonDollars. When students release and print their documents, the cost is automatically deducted from the balance on their DragonCard. All Libraries clients also have the option to pay with a credit or debit card by visiting the Service Desk.
Visit our Printing at the Libraries webpage for detailed instructions about printing in the W. W. Hagerty Library.
Please note that we will not update the printers at the Queen Lane Library and the Hahnemann Library. Effective July 14, 2023, printing will no longer be available at the Queen Lane Library. Printing is no longer available at the Hahnemann Library in the New College Building. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. All Drexel students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use the printers and scanner at the W. W. Hagerty Library.
