Test the New Esploro Research Services Platform

July 8, 2020

The Drexel University Libraries is seeking Drexel faculty and researchers to test and evaluate Esploro, a new research services platform from Ex Libris.

As part of University’s participation in the Esploro Early Adopter Program, Drexel faculty and researchers will have the opportunity to test the Esploro platform and offer feedback and suggestions to influence the final system, which is set to be released later this fall. During the six-week testing period, the exercise should take approximately one hour. Faculty and researchers are encouraged to experiment with the system as much as possible during the testing phase.

The timeline for this evaluation is July 20 – August 15, 2020. During this time, Drexel research information will be available in the Esploro test environment, and members of the Drexel community will be able to test the system’s functionality and workflows, including:

  • Searching, adding, and editing researcher profiles
  • Searching for Drexel research assets
  • Depositing Drexel research assets
  • Searching for funding opportunities
  • Reviewing analytics

About Esploro & the Early Adopter Program
In 2018, Drexel University joined five other international universities as an early adopter of the Ex Libris Esploro™ research services platform. The Esploro solution will broaden the impact of Drexel’s research output and maximize the efficiency of managing research data and publications for global discovery and access through a campus-wide partnership led by the Drexel Libraries. As a participant in the Esploro early adopter program, Drexel University has been closely involved in providing product feedback and shaping Esploro to meet the needs of research universities.
