Letter from the Editor: New Look, Same Commitment
September 6, 2018
Notice anything different?
In Circulation – your monthly window into the Drexel University Libraries – has a fresh new look.
First, you’ll see we updated the nameplate. We removed the image of the stacks that appeared in the background because we want to reflect that we’re so much more than just books. The new version of our monthly newsletter also features a single-column layout so it’s even easier to read on mobile devices. We’ve made a few smaller changes to the color schemes and the font to give In Circulation a refreshed, modern look and feel.
What hasn’t changed is our commitment to inspiring members of the Drexel community and beyond to be life-long learners. This newsletter is one of the outlets we use to demonstrate our contributions to our local and global communities, and we hope these stories have inspired you to engage with us—and with information and learning—in some new way each month.
You might remember our coverage of new initiatives like the Library Explorers program and the Library Faculty Fellows, or the addition of the ThinkHub monitor in the newly renamed Dragons’ Learning Den. Or, more recently, in July, we used this newsletter to announce the implementation of a new, modern Library Management System to improve our clients’ information discovery and research experiences.
You can expect to see updates on these programs and initiatives over the coming months, as well coverage of the other changes and programs on the horizon. No matter how we look, we’ll continue to use this newsletter to share our stories and hopefully inspire you to find new ways to make contributions to a global, knowledge-dependent society.
Thank you for faithfully opening this email each month and for your continued interest in and support of the Libraries.
