In May, the Libraries initiated a new subscription to Westlaw Campus Research, a comprehensive database of legal materials including cases, statutes and regulations of the U.S. government and the fifty state governments. WestLaw Campus Research - a sister product of WestLaw, the highly regarded database used for legal education by Drexel's Klein School of Law - will replace Lexis-Nexis Academic as the Libraries' core resource for legal material for non-law students effective July 1, 2017.

WestLaw Campus Research includes the legal encyclopedia American Jurisprudence 2nd, as well as American Law Reports, a collection of law articles on specific topics. The resource also includes case law from 1789 to present, current statutes and regulations, legal scholarship in law review articles and federal legislative history.  

The database also provides access to news and business content, including SEC filings, corporate structures, newspapers and media transcripts. Westlaw Campus Research draws on the highly regarded editorial content of Westlaw and West Legal Publishing. 

Materials can be accessed through a robust search interface or through browsing broad subject categories such as civil rights, international law or environmental law.
