The Libraries is excited to announce that we now have access to the ASTM Standards and Engineering Digital Library. ASTM Standards and Engineering Digital Library, known as ASTM Compass, is a vast collection of industry-leading standards and technical engineering information, including the ASTM journals and symposia papers (also known as Standard Technical Publications.) ASTM Compass publications cover a broad range of engineering disciplines, including aerospace, biomedical, chemical, civil, environmental, geological, health and safety, industrial, materials science, mechanical, nuclear, petroleum, soil science, and solar engineering.

Provides fundamental technical knowledge of standards and the standardization process.

You can now access more than 12,500 standards, the ASTM Digital Library containing 1,500+ books and more than 47,000+ papers, chapters and articles, as well as online training courses and videos. Available additional tools include: adding notes and images to standards, viewing standards that show changes via color-coded highlighting, sharing functions to pass on knowledge, translated standards, and more.

Research Reports
The backbone of many ASTM standard test methods is a comprehensive laboratory study that supports the Precision and Bias statement. Research Reports can contain a list of participating laboratories, description of samples, a copy of the laboratory instructions, the equipment/apparatus used, a copy of the raw data, a statistical summary, and a copy of the precision and bias statement.

Related Materials
Related Materials are documents that the ASTM technical committees deem necessary for inclusion with ASTM standards.

ASTM Journals
Journals include: Advances in Civil Engineering Materials, Cement, Concrete and Aggregates, Geotechnical Testing Journal, Journal of ASTM International, Journal of Composites, Technology & Research, Journal of Forensic Sciences, Journal of Testing and Evaluation Materials Performance and Characterization

Special Technical publications and proceedings
The essential engineering collection contains over 29,000 papers -- all of them peer reviewed. All symposia papers are published in book format (known as STPs or Selected Technical Papers). You can download individual papers from any book or simply download the entire book itself.

Manuals and Monographs
Provides practical, hands-on application information (Manuals) or advanced and highly technical information (Monographs) from highly-regarded experts in their respective fields.

Data Series
The ASTM Data Series covers specific applications, contain compiled data, and usually include explanatory text.

Proceedings
Proceedings of ASTM International were published annually and included all committee reports and technical papers offered to the Society during the calendar year. Digital copies are available from approximately 1909-1965.

Bulletin
The ASTM Bulletin was the official ASTM member magazine from 1921 to 1960, changing its name to Materials Research and Standards from 1961 to 1972. Usually published quarterly, these editions included news of the Society, its technical committee activities and publications, as well as technical papers. Each quarterly edition contains many individual technical papers.
