Visitor Access to Library Resources & Services
We are pleased to offer resources and services for all visitors, including visiting faculty and researchers, guests of members of the Drexel community, and residents of the greater Philadelphia area.
Access to W. W. Hagerty Library
Members of the public are welcome to visit the W. W. Hagerty Library between 7:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. All visitors must present a valid ID at the security desk upon entering the building.
Please note that current Drexel University students, faculty, and staff have priority access to all library resources and learning environments. Access is restricted to current Drexel students, faculty, and staff on weekends and during exam periods and some holidays.
Please be sure to check our hours page for any holiday or term break closures or adjustments to our opening and closing times, or contact us directly for more information.
Access to Library Collections
The Drexel University Libraries’ physical collections are available to all individuals for on-site use. Please note that we do not provide access to computers for members of the public. Please visit any branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia for access to public computers.
Alumni and visiting faculty and researchers affiliated with the University may access the Drexel Libraries’ online licensed resources from a Drexel Libraries laptop while working on-site in the W. W. Hagerty Library. By contract, off-site access to licensed online resources is available only to current Drexel faculty, staff, and students at this time.

Reciprocal Borrowing & On-Site Programs
The Drexel Libraries has a number of affiliations with other academic institutions which provide broader access to information resources and scholarly materials.
Students, faculty, and staff from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania may visit the W. W. Hagerty Library during normal operating hours, with the exception of finals week. A current university ID is required to enter.
Visiting faculty from participating organizations are eligible to borrow from our general collection. Faculty must receive a reciprocal borrower’s letter from their home library in order to borrow materials from the Drexel Libraries. Please present this letter, along with a current university ID, to the staff at the service desk in order to obtain a borrowing card.

Printing & Scanning
Public self-service printers and scanning stations are available at the W. W. Hagerty Library. Visit our printing page for details and instructions on printing at the library.
Internet Access
The Drexel Guest Network is provided for the convenience of visitors and guests. The Drexel Guest Network offers basic internet access for guests’ wireless computers and devices and is available across campus, including in the library.
