Anna Harper (she/her/hers) is a Curricula Support Librarian at the Drexel University Libraries. As a member of the Curricula Support Team, Anna incorporates library research support into faculty teaching using curriculum mapping, designing active learning lesson plans, and collaborating on online learning objects. Before coming to Drexel, Anna served as the Faculty Librarian for the Napa Valley College in California where, among other accomplishments, she implemented many technological improvements to benefit library clients and support efficiency for staff.
Earlier in her career, Anna was part of a research team that studied and published on image use in college students’ research and visual literacy practices in higher education. More recently she has extended her arts librarianship expertise through collaborations with faculty and students to present original case studies on an assignment that integrated a local archival collection into a printmaking course, embedding Wikipedia editing into Art History curriculum, and developing independent studies in librarianship for undergraduate Art History students. Anna holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree with concentrations in Studio Art and Art History from Portland State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Denver.
