Zotero is an open-source reference management tool. With one click, Zotero can automatically import bibliographic information that it "senses" in many library databases as well as library catalogs and web sites such as The New York Times, Wikipedia, Flickr and Amazon. You can attach notes, links, and PDFs to records in your Zotero library. Zotero's Microsoft Word plugin helps you to quickly create in-text citations, endnotes, and bibliographies in a variety of citation styles. This is a hands-on, introductory workshop.

Learn how to use RefWorks to quickly grab source citation information from databases, and store all your references in the cloud! RefWorks is an online citation management tool that can generate bibliographies, add in-text citations, and allows you to create a sound organizational structure for your reference material.

You use Google every day, but are you using it efficiently? Using Google’s advanced search features and specialized search engines can greatly enhance your Googling experience. In this workshop, you will practice using common search operators and filters, as well as review Google's different search engines. You will learn how to use Google Books and Google Scholar to find sources of research and connect your search results to the Drexel Library's catalog and databases.

A scholarly review article is a secondary source that synthesizes the body of research on a topic. In this workshop, you will learn the characteristics of review articles, why they are important, and how to search for them using library databases. You will also learn how to locate the full text of a source given its citation.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to  fundamental design principles, as you work in small groups to evaluate examples. You will learn tips to enhance photographs and charts and techniques for creating interesting layouts with visual balance and thematic unity.

Looking for an alternative to PowerPoint? Get started with Prezi! Prezi is a web-based application that allows for multi-authoring of visual presentations, which makes it great for group projects. Instead of a slide deck, you create your presentation on a large canvas - you can pan and zoom to different parts of the canvas as you present ideas. You can easily insert text, images, videos, PDFs and hyperlinks into your Prezi to make the content more engaging. This workshop is a hands-on, introduction to the tool.
