All alumni of Drexel University, Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, Allegheny University of the Health Sciences, and MCP Hahnemann University are invited to apply for an Alumni Library Card.
Alumni/ae must present proof of graduation. To get an alumni card or letter confirming alumni status, visit the Paul Peck Alumni Center at 3142 Market Street, call 215-895-ALUM, or use the website link.
The alumni card or letter, and an Application for Library Privileges should be brought to the library circulation desk, during regular business hours (9 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday) at Hahnemann or Queen Lane Libraries; or at any time that Hagerty Library is open. The Application for Library Privileges can be printed in advance or obtained at the libraries’ circulation desks. A valid picture ID is still required to enter the libraries.
An Alumni Library Card does not expire. Registered alumni/ae may:
- Borrow circulating books from the library collections (up to 20 books at one time)
- Use computers in the Libraries to access MOST Library's databases and other electronic resources (some specifically restrict access by current University ID)
- Visit the Drexel University Libraries during evening and weekend hours. However, alumni who wish to use the Health Sciences Libraries at these times may need to make arrangements through the specific Library's Coordinator, due to building security regulations.
Career Library Collection
A specialized collection of career-related materials is located at Hagerty Library, and staffed by the Careers Library Assistant. Materials include resume and interviewing guides, graduate admission test study guides, and information about various career fields. Alumni may also use the services of the Steinbright Career Development Center.
The Drexel University Archives and Special Collections preserves the history of Drexel University. Alumni are invited to contact the Archivist to explore the histories of academic departments and student organizations, or to peruse yearbooks and other Drexel publications.
The Archives and Special Collections on Women in Medicine and Homeopathy offers collections tracing the histories of Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University.
